MIDSOMER MURDERS

Set Eleven debuts on DVD October 7, 2008

Four contemporary, stand-alone British mysteries from the top-selling, hit series

Silver Spring, MD; August 12, 2008 — Acorn Media announces the October 7, 2008 DVD debut of Midsomer Murders, Set Eleven, offering four contemporary, stand-alone mysteries from the top-selling British mystery franchise. The perennial hit series is still going strong after 11 years of production with no end in sight.

In this set, Jason Hughes (This Life) joins the cast as Barnaby’s eager new sidekick.

Set Eleven includes appearances by such notable performers as Elizabeth Spriggs (Sense and Sensibility), George Baker (I, Claudius), Simon Callow (Four Weddings and a Funeral), Joss Ackland, Siân Phillips (I, Claudius), Dermot Crowley, and Julia McKenzie.

Feature-length mysteries in Set Eleven:
The House in the Woods, Dead Letters, Vixen’s Run, and Down Among the Dead Men

Midsomer Murders premiered in the United Kingdom in March 1997. Since then, more than sixty feature-length episodes have aired with new episodes still in production. In the U.S., the series has been seen on A&E and The Biography Channel. The episodes in Set Eleven consist of the first half of Series Nine, which aired in the U.K. in 2005-06.

Special Features: Fascinating Facts, The Killings at Badger’s Drift connection, Caroline Graham biography, production notes, and cast filmographies.
